That pop-culture champuru that is the San Diego Comic-Con is nearly upon us, and I’m making a handful of appearances at Grand Central Publishing, our SHOOTING WAR publisher, as well as doing some live demos on Wacom’s interactive Cintiq pen display that I use to make these brightly-colored comics you treasure so deeply in your hearts. Please come and see me here:

Hey, DMan! Isn’t the Cintiq unbelievable? I also demo-ed it — at the Adobe CS3 Creative License Conference in June… and I have yet to get one at home. Wish I could see you use it — you probably kick ass since you use it all the time. Do you go to every Comic-con?
Yeah, this one will be my ninth consecutive SDCC; it’s a real sensory overload experience; this one should be a load of fun. Plus, I’m excited to sit and draw “KELLY” in public… at least the nice bits. And yes, the Cintiq is exceptional; drawing on the screen keeps the motions freer and lines tighter… I noticed a visible quality bump in my work once I added it to the equation.
