I was thrilled to read this smart Washington Post feature whose narrative moves from prose into comics and features Françoise Mouly and agent Bob Mecoy… so imagine my surprise upon reaching the last panel, only to find that it references my own upcoming 08: A GRAPHIC DIARY OF THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL. Give the whole piece a whirl to understand how the sea-changes happening now in comics/publishing.

My darlings:
I’ve proposed a panel for 2009’s SXSW Interactive, a discussion called Comics on Handhelds: Taking Webcomics Mobile. Last year’s SXSWi was incredible, and for this year I’m assembling a very interesting group of comics reimagineers/futurists for a panel who’ve all had a part in putting webcomics’ culture in the pockets of Muggles everywhere.
The proposal is live on the SXSW Panel Picker site now, and it would mean alot to me if you could vote-up/comment my panel and keep comics’ evolution part of the conversation at SXSW this year.

Voting ends Friday, August 29th; my humble thanks to you for helping out.
